A selection of cars past and present. As you can see I'm quite fond of old 1970s cars and there have been many more that aren't pictured here, including Rover 2000 (P6), Hillman Avenger (x 2), Vauxhall Victor FE, Datsun 160 SSS Coupe, several Rover SD1s, Leyland Princess and several MK4 and MK5 Cortinas.
Dashboard from 1974 Vauxhall VX4/90. For me, this shot sums up my obsession with 1970s cars.
The Cortina 1.6GL in Cosmos Blue. I learned to drive in this one...
I must have been 17 in this photo taking a sneaky drive of Dad's CX (on private roads of course!). This car had a 2.2 litre engine with weird but effective 3-speed semi-automatic transmission (no clutch, but you still had to change gears the normal way... told you it was weird.)
1974 Triumph 2000 with silky smooth 6-cylinder engine.
Old English Ivory Daimler Sovereign Series 1 dating from 1971. It had a lovely grey leather interior and was much better built than the later Series 2 model.
Rear quarter view of the Series 1.
And here's the Series 2 LWB version. Lovely interior but generally poorer quality than the Series 1. This was one of the very last series 2 models.
Jaguar Sovereign Series 3, a 4.2 litre version that had belonged to the Belgian embassy in London.
