guitar collection
I've been playing guitar since I was 12 years old and have covered loads of different styles since then. At the moment my main genre is rockabilly (I'm lead guitarist in a band called The Beyonders, fronted by lead singer Pete Hutton).
My main guitar for the rockabilly material is the Tanglewood jazzer although I also use the Fender Stratocaster for more 60s influenced material. The '79 classical guitar still gets played frequently at home, as does a Lorenzo acoustic (not pictured yet, but will add it soon).
Here's a selection of guitars owned by myself, past and present.
Fender Jaguar 62 reissue leaning on Vibroverb amp. Fender Prcision bass 61 reissue leaning on Fender Tolex case. 58 Stratocaster in surf green leaning on 1962 HMV record player.
Designed to replicate the sounds of the original tape-loop echo boxes of the early 60s.
Similar to 1950s Gretsch Duo Het, this one had a lovely sunburst finish.
Another photo of the Gretsch along with a couple of early Gene Vincent LPs. This style of guitar was used on both these albums.
Ibanez electro-acoustic with unusual blue finish.
Jaguar 62 reissue in blond finish with gold hardware.
Made from a kit, this turned out surprisingly well and has a nice low action. Used as my spare guitar at gigs in case I break a string.
Lightweight compact travel guitar also available as nylon-strung classical.
Fender classic 1961 reissue.
Used this when I had my own rockabilly band (The Runaway Boys) for that authentic 50s look.
My first guitar which I still play frequently.
In rare Surf Green colour, this is a faithful repro of the 1958 model. Single-ply pickguard and slightly aged controls and pickups.
